Radio Personality/Radio Announcer/Intern Coordinator/Morning Show Host

Tyler OBrien aka “The Bow Tie Guy” originally from Palm Springs California, started his adult journey in life in 2008 when he enlisted into the United States Navy. He served four years on board the U.S.S. Benfold as a radarman, with deployments to the Arabian Gulf as well as to Mosul Iraq as a Prison Guard. After his 4 years in the Navy, he went to Denver Colorado and attended the Colorado Media School where he finished with an Associates in Sports Broadcasting. Tyler accepted a position in Yuma Colorado working for Media Logic Radio, covering Yuma High School athletics as well as hosting his own morning show on 100.9 KNEC. While covering Yuma Athletics, he broadcasted 2 Volleyball championships, 4 Basketball Championships with a 5th that was on its way until Covid-19 hit. He also broadcasted Football playoffs and Baseball Playoffs for Yuma. After Colorado, he transitioned to Oklahoma as a new on air personality with Eastern Oklahoma State College The Mix 93.1/104.9 FM and Mountaineer TV. Currently Tyler is the Morning show host from 7-11 a.m on Mountaineer Radio, provides commentary for Eastern and Wilburton High School athletics and coordinates radio and TV student workers. Tyler is extremely passionate in his sports but loves talking to the listeners via his radio show and bringing his goofy personality to the air waves.
